Christ-centered · Africa-focused · Est. February 2025

From village to village,
we are building Nigeria's next generation of health giants.

Healthified trains young people in Lagos to understand their health, use their primary health centres, and speak up when those centres fall short, so that preventable illness is caught early.

Why We Exist

The centre is near. Only 1 in 5 people around it use it.

There is a primary health centre near you, where you can walk in for check-ups, basic tests and treatment. In 2025, only about 1 in 5 people living around one used it. Knowing where it is does not mean knowing what it is for. That gap costs lives.

"My grandfather died of prostate cancer. There was a primary health centre near him, as there is near most homes. It may not have been able to screen him for prostate cancer, but it could have examined him and referred him onward. He never walked in, because nobody had ever told him what that place was for. If I had known then what I know now, I would have told him. That is why we start with young people."

Dr. Imisioluwa Coker, Founder & Executive Director

That loss is the reason Healthified exists. Founded in February 2025 by a physician working inside Lagos's public health system, Healthified is a Christ-centered, Africa-focused social enterprise built on one conviction: the generation that can prevent the next wave of preventable deaths in Nigeria is already alive. They simply haven't been trained yet.

We meet young Nigerians in secondary schools, develop them through a six-month fellowship, and send them back into their communities as certified Health Giants, equipped to prevent, educate, and respond.

01

Prevention

Malaria, hygiene, nutrition and lifestyle education that stops disease before it starts.

02

Education

Health literacy that helps young Nigerians make informed decisions for life, not just for a day.

03

Emergency Response

Knowing what to do, what to say, and where to go when a health crisis happens at home.

"So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere."

Luke 9:6, Our Founding Verse
What We Run

One pipeline, and the work that funds it.

HealthRoots and SHAP are our flagship pipeline: a school outreach finds young people, the fellowship trains them, and those graduates help deliver the next outreach. Healthified Outreaches is our paid arm, and the income from it funds the free programmes.

🏫

HealthRoots FLAGSHIP

Bi-annual health education outreach in Lagos secondary schools: prevention, screenings and PHC navigation, free for every student. This is where the pipeline starts.

Hospital Prayer & Visitation Program

Building on outreaches already conducted at LASUTH and Massey Children's Hospital, we're preparing to resume regular hospital visitation and prayer support for patients, launching once SHAP Cohort 1 is fully underway.

Free, In Schools

HealthRoots: health education, where students already are.

A free, one-day health education and screening outreach for Lagos secondary schools. Run bi-annually, at no cost to the school, for every student in SS1 to SS3. From our first school outreach, we track change with before-and-after questionnaires and follow up on health referrals.

📚

What Students Learn

Malaria prevention, hygiene and sanitation, nutrition, mental health awareness, substance abuse prevention, and how to find and use a PHC in an emergency.

🩺

Free Health Screenings

Blood pressure, BMI, blood glucose and cholesterol, offered to school staff. Conducted privately, with a referral letter issued for anything needing follow-up.

⏱️

How a Visit Works

2 to 2.5 hours, built around the school's own timetable. Every student leaves with a wellness card. All materials and equipment provided by Healthified.
